FIU Leadership Dinner
As Vice-President of Membership and Finance Alberto was Master of Ceremonies for the First Annual FIU Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society Leadership Dinner. Alberto not only presented the dinner but also interviewed the keynote speaker, Dr. Modesto A. Maidique, a renowned leader in the Miami and FIU community.

FIU Leadership Summit
During the 2018 FIU Leadership Summit Alberto played a pivotal role in the planning of the summit as a member of the planning committee and served as the introduction to the keynote speaker, Kristen Hadeed, a Florida native entrepreneur from Gainesville.

Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce
As an advocate of the Miami community, Alberto is a frequent volunteer for the university and takes part of many of the conversations with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. In this specific event, Alberto accompanied the FIU Office of Career and Talent and the Human Resources department to recognized renowned Human Resource executives in the Miami community.

Fork & Key Society
In 2018 Alberto was invited to attend the Fork and Key Society's annual dinner that allowed students to network with global leaders and celebrities. During his dinner, Alberto was able to meet NASA Astronaut Leland Melvin and discuss what really makes the International Space Station a global force for good.

Latin America Discussion with Costa Rican President
During the 2018 academic year, FIU hosted several foreign dignitaries from the Attorney Generals of several Latin American countries and the President of Costa Rica in recognition of his global engagement and his partnership with the university. Alberto was one of the few students invited by the Student Government Association to attend the event to meet and discuss the situations in Costa Rica and Latin America with President Rosenberg and President Solis Rivera.
